careerOS is operated by LunaPrompts. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect when you use careerOS, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Your résumé (CV). When you upload a PDF, we store its contents to generate job matches, fit scores, and tailored CV suggestions. This is the core service — without it we cannot match you to roles.
- Anonymous session identifier. We create an anonymous session so your results persist without requiring you to register. No name, email, or password is required.
- IP address (geolocation only). We use your IP address to infer your city or country so we can surface locally relevant roles. We do not log or store raw IP addresses beyond the duration of your session.
- Usage data. Standard analytics (page views, upload events) are collected via Google Analytics to help us improve the product. This data is aggregated and not linked to your résumé.
How we use your data
- To parse your résumé and extract skills, experience, and context.
- To match your profile against job listings and generate fit scores.
- To produce tailored CV suggestions for specific roles.
- To improve the accuracy and relevance of our matching models.
We do not sell your résumé or personal data to third parties. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with prospective employers without your explicit action.
Storage and security
Your résumé and session data are stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS), with access restricted to authenticated service accounts. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Retention
Anonymous guest sessions and their associated CV data are retained for up to 90 days of inactivity, after which they are automatically deleted. If you create an account, your data is retained until you delete your account. You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing us.
Cookies
We use a first-party session cookie to keep you signed in during your visit. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. Google Analytics uses its own cookie under Google's privacy policy.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at contact@lunaprompts.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above will be updated when we do. Continued use of careerOS after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
